Silversea’s fare names sound similar, but the booking terms are not. All-Inclusive Plus, All-Inclusive, and Last-Minute fares share Silversea’s core onboard experience while differing in deposit flexibility, shore-excursion benefits, availability, and price protection. Silversea documents those differences on its current Plus, All-Inclusive, Last-Minute, and Best Fare Guarantee pages. The right choice depends on your voyage, how firm your plans are, and the benefits you will actually use.
There is one more distinction to make before comparing prices: Classic and Expedition voyages do not handle every inclusion in the same way. Silversea says All-Inclusive Plus on a Classic voyage provides a shore-excursion credit based on the voyage’s length and region, while Expedition voyages include landings and shore excursions. See Silversea’s current All-Inclusive Plus description.
Quick answer: All-Inclusive Plus is usually the strongest starting point when you value a refundable deposit, eligible excursion benefits, and Silversea’s Best Fare Guarantee. Standard All-Inclusive can be attractive for a Classic voyage when plans are firm and the savings outweigh those benefits. Last-Minute is the high-commitment option for select departures within five months because it requires full payment and is nonrefundable. Silversea publishes the current terms for Plus, All-Inclusive, and Last-Minute.

The comparison is drawn from Silversea’s current pages for All-Inclusive Plus, All-Inclusive, Last-Minute, and its Best Fare Guarantee. Silversea notes that some services may vary, so the live voyage and its booking terms should always control.

This example shows how the value calculation works. If two guests each receive and fully use the displayed $400 credit, the combined $800 excursion credit exceeds the $600 fare difference by $200. That is before assigning any value to the Plus fare’s more flexible deposit or Best Fare Guarantee eligibility. The conclusion could change for a solo guest, someone who will not use the full credit, or a sailing with a different fare spread.
The screenshot also illustrates why the deposit rule and the broader cancellation schedule should be reviewed separately. Silversea describes the standard All-Inclusive deposit as nonrefundable, while the displayed quote shows that 75 percent of the total fare remains refundable until a specified date. Those statements can coexist: losing a deposit does not necessarily mean losing the entire fare at every stage. The booking confirmation and voyage-specific cancellation schedule determine the actual exposure. Silversea describes the standard deposit here.
What all three Silversea fares include onboard
Silversea lists the same defining onboard elements across the three fare pages: butler-serviced suites, dining, unlimited wines and spirits, onboard gratuities, and Wi-Fi. Compare the official Plus, All-Inclusive, and Last-Minute descriptions.
That means the least expensive fare does not create a lesser onboard service tier. The more useful question is what you give up before and around the cruise, especially flexibility and excursion value.
What is Silversea All-Inclusive Plus?
All-Inclusive Plus is the enhanced fare. On Classic voyages, it includes a shore-excursion credit whose amount depends on the voyage’s length and region. On Expedition voyages, Silversea says landings and shore excursions are included. The fare also comes with what Silversea describes as a fully refundable deposit. See the official All-Inclusive Plus inclusions.
For bookings made on or after September 11, 2025, All-Inclusive Plus is also the only fare covered by Silversea’s current Best Fare Guarantee. If a lower qualifying price appears on a Silversea-owned channel for the same fare type, voyage, and suite category, a guest may request repricing up to 24 hours before departure, subject to the policy. The guarantee applies to the fare portion, not ancillary purchases such as air, hotel upgrades, excursions, insurance, or land programs. Read Silversea’s Best Fare Guarantee.
All-Inclusive Plus may suit you if:
- You are booking well in advance and value a refundable deposit.
- You expect to use the available Classic-voyage shore-excursion credit.
- You want access to the Best Fare Guarantee under its current terms.
- You are booking an Expedition voyage and want the published expedition inclusions.
- The fare premium is modest relative to the flexibility and benefits you expect to use.
What is Silversea All-Inclusive?
The standard All-Inclusive Fare is available on Classic voyages. It preserves the core onboard experience, but shore excursions and extended land experiences are purchased separately. Air, hotels, and transfers can also be purchased through Silversea. The deposit is nonrefundable. See Silversea’s current All-Inclusive Fare page.
This fare may be a sensible value when your dates are firm and you prefer to choose excursions à la carte. The deciding calculation is not simply the price difference from Plus. Compare that savings with the excursion credit you would receive, the value of the deposit flexibility, and the protection you would have under the Best Fare Guarantee.
All-Inclusive may suit you if:
- You are choosing a Classic voyage.
- Your plans are firm enough to accept a nonrefundable deposit.
- You prefer private touring, independent exploration, or only a small number of Silversea excursions.
- The savings over Plus are greater than the benefits you realistically value.
What is Silversea’s Last-Minute Fare?
The Last-Minute Fare is offered on select departures within five months and requires full payment at booking. It is nonrefundable. Silversea says the fare retains the same core onboard amenities and services, and the page lists both Classic and Expedition voyages. See Silversea’s Last-Minute Fare page.
On Classic voyages, excursions and related trip components can be purchased separately. For Expedition voyages, Silversea’s current page displays the relevant hotel elements, expedition gear, and expedition activities, while warning that services can vary. Confirm the exact sailing before treating any item as included. Review Silversea’s voyage-specific caveat.
Last-Minute may suit you if:
- You can travel within five months.
- Your dates are firm and you can pay in full immediately.
- You are comfortable accepting a nonrefundable fare.
- The savings are meaningful after you account for air, hotels, transfers, and excursions.
- You have reviewed travel insurance options and understand that insurance does not make every reason for cancellation covered.
Is Silversea All-Inclusive Plus worth it?
The cleanest way to decide is to calculate the value gap:
Plus fare premium
minus
excursion credit you will actually use
minus
the value you place on a refundable deposit and Best Fare Guarantee eligibility
If the remaining premium is small, Plus may be the stronger value. If you will not use the excursion credit, your dates are firm, and the standard fare is substantially lower, All-Inclusive may be more appropriate.
Avoid assigning full value to benefits you would not otherwise purchase. A shore-excursion credit is valuable when the available tours fit your interests and schedule, not merely because it appears in the fare description. Silversea says the credit varies by the length and region of a Classic voyage, so there is no single amount that applies to every sailing. See Silversea’s Plus-fare description.
Classic versus Expedition voyages: do not skip this distinction
On a Classic voyage, the fare comparison focuses on deposit terms, a Plus-fare excursion credit, price protection, and the cost of any extras you select. Standard All-Inclusive is offered only on Classic voyages. Silversea’s All-Inclusive page specifies Classic-voyage availability.
On an Expedition voyage, the published Plus and Last-Minute pages show expedition-related inclusions such as specified hotel elements, gear, and activities. Silversea also says details may vary by destination or voyage. Compare Silversea’s Expedition listings for Plus and Last-Minute.
This is why I would never use a Classic-voyage comparison chart to make an Expedition decision without checking the exact sailing.
Five details to compare before paying a deposit
1. The same suite and promotion
Compare the same ship, sailing, suite category, occupancy, and promotion. Otherwise, it is easy to mistake a suite or offer difference for a fare difference.
2. The actual excursion credit
For a Classic voyage on All-Inclusive Plus, confirm the credit attached to that sailing and review the excursions you would genuinely choose. Silversea says the amount is based on voyage length and region. See the official Plus page.
3. Deposit, cancellation, and final-payment terms
“Refundable deposit” does not mean every payment remains refundable indefinitely. Review the full cancellation schedule and final-payment deadline attached to the booking, not only the summary label.
4. Best Fare Guarantee eligibility
For bookings on or after September 11, 2025, Silversea limits the policy to All-Inclusive Plus. A qualifying lower price must match the fare type, voyage, and suite category, and the policy excludes ancillary purchases. Read the full Best Fare Guarantee.
5. The total trip, not only the cruise fare
Add flights, hotels, transfers, excursions, land arrangements, and insurance to the comparison. Silversea allows guests to purchase several of these components through the cruise line or arrange them independently, depending on the fare and voyage. See the current fare pages.
Why book your Silversea voyage through a travel advisor?
The three fare names do not tell you the full financial story. When you book with me, I can compare the same sailing and suite across the available fare types, calculate how much of the excursion credit you are likely to use, separate the deposit rule from the full cancellation schedule, and show whether the Plus premium buys meaningful value for your trip.
I can also check the details that are easy to miss when booking quickly: Classic versus Expedition inclusions, promotion eligibility, final-payment deadlines, air and hotel choices, and whether a new qualifying fare may fall under Silversea’s Best Fare Guarantee. Silversea provides travel advisors with a dedicated system for creating and managing client reservations, which allows the advisor relationship to continue after the original booking. Common mistakes when comparing Silversea fares
- Assuming “All-Inclusive” means the same excursions are included on every Classic and Expedition voyage
- Choosing Plus without checking the sailing’s actual excursion credit
- Choosing the standard fare without valuing its nonrefundable deposit
- Treating Last-Minute as a casual hold instead of a paid-in-full, nonrefundable commitment
- Expecting the Best Fare Guarantee to apply to every fare or to air, hotels, and other add-ons
- Comparing different suites, promotions, or occupancy instead of isolating the fare difference
My recommendation
Begin with All-Inclusive Plus as the reference point, then ask whether the lower fare compensates you adequately for the benefits and flexibility you would give up. For a close-in trip, compare Last-Minute separately because its full-payment and nonrefundable terms create a different level of commitment.
There is no universally best Silversea fare. There is a best fare for a specific voyage, suite, traveler, and booking date.
